Pool Closing Services

Take the hassle out of closing your pool and enjoy peace of mind all winter long with a comprehensive pool closing from our friendly and professional service team.

When is the best time
to close my pool?

Closing your pool in late-September at the earliest is generally the best choice. By then, most of the season’s hottest weather has passed, allowing your pool to be covered only during cooler conditions. This helps reduce the chance of algae growth.

While adding excessive amounts of chemicals can help prevent algae growth under your cover, it can also be harsh on your liner, skimmer, fittings, and gaskets. Proper water chemistry, combined with a Brothers 3 Winterizing Chemical Kit, provides effective winter protection without unnecessary wear on your pool equipment and surfaces.

What do you do to close my pool?

Our comprehensive Summarizing process includes

  • Removal and safe storage of removable pool accessories, including ladders, handrails, return fittings, skimmer baskets, plugs, and other in-season components

  • Addition of customer-provided winterizing chemicals to help protect water quality and reduce algae growth during the off-season

  • Lowering the pool water to the appropriate winter level based on the pool, cover, and equipment requirements

  • Blowing out accessible plumbing lines to remove standing water to prevent freeze damage

  • Plugging accessible return lines, pressure fittings, skimmers, suction lines, and other plumbing openings using the appropriate winterizing plugs and protection devices

  • Gently rinsing and cleaning filter tanks, pump baskets, and accessible equipment components. More extensive filter and equipment deep-cleaning services are available separately

  • Installing the winter cover and adjusting it to provide a secure, proper fit across the pool

Any recommendations for repairs, replacements will be noted and can be scheduled with the office for a future return date

Protect Your Investment
